Join Art Historian Richard Meyer (DC '88, Professor of Art History at Stanford) and Yale Dean Susan Cahan for a wide-ranging discussion of art, sexuality and history across the late 19th, 20th and early 21st centuries. At Whitney Humanities Center

Queering Art HistorySaturday May 25, 2-3 pm with Art Historian Richard Meyer (DC ’88) and Professor of Art History at Stanford.

 

Join Meyer and Yale Dean Susan Cahan for a wide-ranging discussion of art, sexuality and history across the late 19th, 20th and early 21st centuries.

 

Meyer is the author of two newly-published books, both of which will be available at the event: 
       (1) 
What Was Contemporary Art? an unorthodox history of contemporary art in American, and,
       (2) Art and Queer Culture, an illustrated survey of global art and sexuality from 1885 to the present (with Catherine Lord)

        At the Whitney Humanities Center, Conference room 208, 53 Wall St, New Haven, CT.  Free.
