NYC: Ivy+ LGBTQ Celebration at the Rubin Museum of Art

150 W 17th Street, New York, NY

Friday, October 20, 2023
6pm-9pm

We are returning to the Rubin Museum of Art! One of Chelsea's gems, the Rubin's beautiful K2 Lounge is open to the public Friday evenings.  They have hosted our ever so popular semi-annual LGBTQ events since 2007! In addition to mingling with us in the K2 Lounge, you are welcome to visit the galleries of the museum. The galleries will be open and free to all attending.

The K2 Lounge is on the ground floor to the left just after you enter the museum. For more information about the museum, visit http://www.rmanyc.org/  Due to the popularity of this event and staff limitations at the museum, coat check is limited and likely to fill up quickly.

Isometric Studio partners and QPA members Andy Chen and Waqas Jawaid will give a design-focused tour of Death is Not the End, an exhibition their studio designed on the 6th floor of the Rubin Museum.  Death Is Not the End is a cross-cultural exhibition that explores notions of death and afterlife through the art of Tibetan Buddhism and Christianity. During a time of great global turmoil, loss, and uncertainty, the exhibition invites contemplation of the universal human condition of impermanence and the desire to continue to exist.  The tour leaves from the lobby at 7PM and is limited to the first 20 people to sign up.  You can sign up for this tour at the check in table.
