Yale GALA, Inc. invites you to join us for a Yale Day of Service Program in Manhattan organized by Harold Levine '78, a long-term member of Yale GALA and a leader of House of Peace, the Jewish-Muslim outreach initiative at CBST (NYC's LGBT Jewish synagogue).

Every week since early 2017, the members of House of Peace have welcomed Muslim worshippers for Friday mid-day Jummah services at NYU. They arrive at 12:45 pm and stand at the entrance of the building until approximately 2:30 pm. This program has been widely covered in the media and held up as the best of interfaith cooperation at a time when the Muslim community in the U.S. has been under attack.

Come when you wish and stay as long as you can. House of Peace will have a group banner and provide individual signs. First-timers are encouraged to go upstairs to the prayer space as guests to experience Muslim prayer first-hand in an open and welcoming setting. (If you're planning to attend services, please wear long pants, and women should have a light scarf or other head covering).

Organized by House of Peace at CBST (Congregation Beth Simchat Torah, an LGBTQ Conservative-Reconstructionist Jewish synagogue in NYC).  Proudly co-hosted by Yale GALA, Inc. and part of Yale's Day of Service 2018.
