NYC: Winter LGBTQ GALA Alumni Night at the Rubin Art Museum

Friday, January 24, 2020 6-10 PM. FREE entry, 2-for-1 wine, beer & champagne 6 - 7 PM Come join in a Yale + All-Schools LGBTQ GALA Mixer. A great night! LBTQ Women's afterparty at QGirls (156 7th Ave, around corner) until 2 AM

Friday, January 24, 2020, 6 - 10 pm (Last call bar 9:30 pm) - NOTE DATE CHANGE. Not MLK Weekend this year.

Where: Rubin Art Museum, 150 W 17th St. NYC 
Cost: Free entry, 2-for-1 wine, beer & champagne 6 - 7 PM

The Rubin Art Museum showcases art from the Himalayan region, from ancient to contemporary

Always a great night.

We will be downstairs in the lobby mingling and upstairs in the galleries.  Almost everyone at the Museum will be GALA / from our groups!  Look for the nametags.

Two free group tours (7 & 8 PM) are available for sign-up at our registration desk (first come, first served - limited to 20 people) or you can view the galleries and mingle in the lobby at your own pace.

 Exhibits from Himalayan and South Asian region:

- Masterworks: Collection highlights from India, Nepal, Tibet and Mongolia.  Also a special gallery with Treasures from the Zhiguan Museum of Fine Art (Himalayan art on loan from the museum in Beijing - closes 6/1/20). 

- Sacred Spaces: The Tibetan Buddhist Shrine Room

Gateway to Himalayan Art: Showing the Diversity of the region's art
- Shahidul Alam: Truth to Power: Photography exhibit from Banggladeshi photographer, writer and activist, named a Time Magazine Person of the Year 2018. (closes 5/4/20)
